This is an online intensive review course aimed at preparing students for second year Arabic. Every week equals a month, so be prepared for the challenge. The course will focus on oral proficiency development besides enhancing reading and writing in standard and spoken Arabic through online material, listening and reading tasks. Students should be to devote at least one hour of online review every day while planning for a weekly assignment for submission.
The content of the course is organized under tabs where you are required to go through one module every week. The deadline for completion should be the sunday before the new week starts. Each module will contain review sheets, explanations, slef-assessments, listening, reading and writing tasks. Some modules will include a quiz covering the reviewed content.
Homework : your homework is the weekly module that you have to complete.
Daily Blog : There is an individual tab where you are required to type anything, it is a free forum for daily discussion in Arabic. Talk about your day, your work , your mood, etc.
DropBox : When there is a required writing or speaking task, you should prepare it and submit in the drop box tab specified for that.
Quizzes : We will have about 4 quizzes integrated in the modules and they will be naturally required to be completed by the weekends.
Finals : By the end of the class, you will take a very short test covering the reviewed content.

The other thing to do is to go to the speaking forum and post some status there to start the online blog :
Typing : I expect different abilities and some technical issues with typing. You need typing alot for this course. If you cannot get a keyboard sticker or an arabic keyboard from the department, the least you can do is to find one online and use it. Or go to Yamli.com and explore your way.
